A sole teaser image of the GAC GS4 compact SUV has surfaced, prior to its 2015 Detroit motor show debut. The move to introduce the car at one of the largest automotive exhibitions of the year is further evidence of the firm’s aim to fortify its global presence.
“The debut of GS4 at the North American International Auto Show will mark a milestone in GAC Motor‘s history because it shows that our products have met the international standards and are able to compete in the global market,” says GAC Motors general manager, Wu Song.
Technical details are pretty much non-existent as only two possible engine variants were revealed – a 1.3 litre or a 1.5 litre engine, both turbocharged. Touted as a “high-performance SUV”, the GAC GS4 is said to be engineered for “various traffic conditions” and aims to provide “drivers and passengers a comfortable and stress-free ride.”
