Mazda brought along several souped-up cars to the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon, based on all its latest metal. Among the machinery carted out at the Japanese tuner showcase is the Mazda CX-3 Racing Concept, a pumped-up version of the new B-segment crossover.
Exterior addenda include a bodykit with red accents, a red-trimmed grille, black extensions to the rear spoiler, B- and C-pillar appliqués with a carbon fibre pattern and some striking black-and-red graphics that adorn the white bodywork. A set of black 19-inch wheels wrapped in 225/45-section Bridgestone Potenza S001 rubber and hiding red brake callipers round off the look.
Inside, the CX-3 Racing Concept gains bucket seats with four-point harnesses, Alcantara upholstery, special floor mats and aluminium pedals. Lower height-adjustable suspension give the SUV a more road-hugging stance, while a racing air intake kit and a sports muffler round off the tweaks.
We’ll be getting the regular Mazda CX-3 soon, it seems – a CIMB investor’s report claimed that it will be launched in Malaysia as early as July, fully-imported with a 2.0 litre SkyActiv-G engine and priced at under RM130k. Could this serve as an inspiration for future owners to tune their cars up, then?

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
under 130k for cx3?…top up a bit and u can get cx5
RM130k for CBU CX-3, the CBU CX-5 was more than RM150k.
I think this is meant to test / intro to the market, if they CKD the car then should be price lower.
The price of the car will play a very important role in Malaysian market, just hope the Mazda management decide to opt for the mass market here with friendly CKD pricing than just the niche market.
I think many potential consumers with a small suv in mind were let down by the rumoured HR-V pricing and specification, not to mention the earlier launched Peugeot 2008 and Ford Ecosport.
Come on, Mazda, show us that you can do what the others can’t.
Nice but will it be available for Malaysia ?
Get a Rush better than this!
Read your spec before you utter nonsense
it is coming. imported CBU from Japan, apparently it will be a japan assembled only car. Spec-wise, could be nice, could be a miss like Mazda 3.
looks nice..
Looks mean all right but I’m starting to think that this CX-3 will be cramped inside especially for adults over 6 feet.
Google the review on this car, one can see that the Head room and leg room for the rear passenger are quite small.
After all the car is not big, it’s closest rival in term of size is the Peugeot 2008
I would suggest you look into a much bigger segment.
This baby cx3 will appeal to young adults and housewives who need second car to run around town.. hope the price can lower down to 110k after ckd and this will be a very good buy.
Agree with the young adults part
damnit ..im gonna get this so bad
looks nicer than an evoque
Under RM130K, too expensive Mazda Malaysia. Now JPY is so low! How come???
I think we should not draw any conclusion so early. Need to see the CBU spec coming in. Afterall, we pay for the things in it, the more you want, the more you pay.
There’s the rule of thumb.
Does this car have a spare tyre? A full size one?
The CBU mazda 6 does not come with a spare tyre.
