King Long Kingo – 15-seater van unveiled, RM115,230

Kingo-7

China Auto Manufacturers (CAM), the official distributor for the King Long brand, has unveiled the 15-seater King Long Kingo, a commercial van aimed at the business reception, limousine, travel and tours market.

The Kingo is powered by a 3.0 litre DK5 four-cylinder turbodiesel, producing 144 hp at 3,400 rpm and 370 Nm at 2,000 rpm. Mated to the mill is a five-speed manual transmission. A 2.7 litre petrol engine is also available, although no specifications were mentioned – CAM said that in this market it’s the oil-burner that is the focus for the van.

Standard equipment includes projector headlights with LED positioning lights, LED tail lights, fog lights, 15-inch alloys, illuminated side steps, power steering, front power windows, remote-controlled central locking, reverse sensors, electric side mirrors, an LCD-equipped DVD player with six speakers, tilt-adjustable steering, nine (!) rear air-conditioning vents and an air purifier. Oh, and ABS with EBD and brake assist, too.

Retail prices for the Kingo 3.0 litre CDTi diesel are RM115,230 for individual private registration and RM115,674 for company private registration, both on-the-road with insurance. From now until February 16, CAM will also throw in a RM2,000 fuel voucher and “luxury” seats, or a RM3,000 rebate. The Kingo is offered with a three-year/100,000 km warranty, including free towing assistance.

seemt, it is reversed. KIA used this badge to replace the NAZA badge. The “K” mark is original King Long logo

I think most of us did notice the increasing number of China van on the road being utilised by transportation company, travel agency.

Last time a travel agency took me and my family from klia back home in one.The driver whom happen to be an admin for the agency due to lack of driver said the van is reliable.Only complaint is lack of after sale support.

With some minor modification, many will turn this into a mini-bus for school children, possibly cramp 25 children.

This is a rebadge of Toyota HiAce. With a licensed production from Toyota. There’s so much HiAce body chassis to be rebadged in China and Korea.

Pui!!! Another Cheena rip off the Toyota Hiace van.

Just how many of their so called automotive companies are ripping off copies from the Hiace?

I saw Chery, Joy Long, Geely and simi LJ Long version of the Hiace.

There is no such things as built under-licenced versions of Toyota Hiace in China. Whatever you see and buy are all rip offs.

I’ve just purchased one of the 5 display vehicle sent to Boroko Motors. To my surprise the owners manual was never included. I therefore request if you could send me the OWNER’S Manual.
Just the electronic copy through my email address.

    I will write you soon.
