Apart from wanting to showcase a “legend” at the 2015 Chicago motor show, a Mitsubishi Compact SUV Concept is set to debut at the 2015 Geneva motor show. Between the two, details are scarce but the latter appears to be more obvious with two teaser images published by the Japanese firm.
Several key details of the concept include the utilisation of Mitsubishi’s @earth Technology platform which is “designed to achieve top-of-class reduced CO2 emissions through its light, compact, and high-performance PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) system.”
All this points to lots of eco-friendly notions but further details concerning the concept’s styling indicates otherwise. Styled as “a dynamic urban crossover, characterized by its body’s edgy side character lines”, it may seem as though performance is just as important on this particular concept.
If that’s not enough to get you excited, do note that back in October 2014, Mitsubishi product boss Kanenori Okamoto stated that the Evo “will be replaced in spirit by an SUV with high performance.” Connect the dots, dash in a bit of hope and it all seems to add up.
So what do you think? Will we see a jacked-up, crossover carry on where the current Evo left off? If so, will fans truly accept it as one of their own? Let us know what you think.

Your son never go wrong with his proton saga.
The “legend” and the “future” is here… future car look. Even it still a concept car.
Which part of the word sedan for the Evo does Mitsubishi not understand when they thought it was a great idea to put the Evo name on a crossover?
On the other hand yes this concept looks good but will the production version follow suit?
I bet it’ll be a new branding apart from the EVO.
Mitsubishi is dying.
Surely Malaysian will get a Proton rebadged version
Why not just make Mitsubishi Lancer Wagon like the Subaru Levorg?
