Porsche offers Aerokit for 911 Turbo, adds downforce

Porsche 911 Turbo Aerokit-02

Porsche Exclusive is now offering an aerokit for the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S. The Aerokit Turbo package includes a new front spoiler panel and a completely redesigned rear lid that has a fixed trailing edge with side winglets and a retractable rear wing with an adjustable angle of attack. The front lip with side fins and striking rear section gives the Turbo a sportier edge.

Aerodynamics was a top priority. Porsche says that the aerokit underwent extensive wind tunnel and circuit testing in Weissach. The key goal was to improve driving dynamics by further increasing downforce, while preserving the same Cd value.

The result is significantly more downforce at the front and rear axles, which increases driving stability, particularly at high speeds. Total downforce generated by the 911 Turbo at 300 km/h is increased by 17 kg to 26 kg in the Speed setting, and by 18 kg to 150 kg in the Performance setting.

Customers can choose the aerokit in black or body colour. The standard side skirts and rear apron are also painted to match the kit. In the black version, the air intake fins on the rear lid are will be in black to match the rear wing.

The aerokit will be available ex-works on all 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S models via Porsche Exclusive, and it can be retrofitted by Porsche Tequipment without affecting your car’s warranty. In Germany, it costs 5,355 euros (RM21,807) including VAT. Read our reviews of the 911 Turbo S and 911 GT3.

These aerokits by Porsche adds downforce. Meanwhile, the aerokits installed on TRD Sportivo Vios, Hilux and Fortuner also add something. Adds extra weight.

      “Ah Beng” quality
Add to the selling price. Making it more expensive

    • Porsche’s fear all along. Almost all reviews say that the Cayman chassis can perform as well as 911 given the correct engine power, at a much cheaper price.

the last cayman felt cheap compared to the 911 of that time…whereas the current 911 is probably the worst 911 ever made bar the problem filled 911 of certain “entry-level” variants of the 964…..and the current boxster/cayman is just amazing although a bit underpowered for the 2.9…
