SPYSHOTS: Lotus Evora facelift caught in the wild

Spy-Shots of Cars

The Lotus Evora facelift is probably one of the company’s worst kept secrets in recent memory. Touted as far back as November 2014 in an interview, the refreshed Evora is set to make its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.

As such, this particular camouflaged prototype seen here could be as close to the finished product, with Lotus probably putting the last few touches to it before the final thumbs up is given. From the front, the new car appears to have a reworked bumper with bigger air intakes.

The latest Evora is rumoured to have a lower sill, designed to make the car more accessible to owners who lack the flexibility of a race car driver. But from what we can see here, it looks pretty similar to the current car, with the same ‘swept-up’ kink by the side skirt.

Moving on to the rear, one can spot a more aggressive diffuser on this prototype while the rear wing appears to have had a minor redesign as well. Changes on the inside are expected to echo the current Evora, with all but the most minute of changes slated to feature.

Under the hood, changes are expected to more drastic with the facelifted version touted to produce 15% more power with a reworked 3.5 litre Toyota-sourced V6 – it pumps out 345 hp and 400 Nm of torque in the current Evora S. Expect a hardcore Cup version to follow in the near future following the new car’s debut.

Because of this SHAMBOLIC and cursed car,the rakyat have been overtaxed for donkey years.
The orang putih in UK has the last laugh.Only STUPID AND SHAMBOLIC businessmen will buy ailing Lotus.
May this car continue to fail and fold up,so that unrepentant Protong will stop asking grants/bailouts.
Without this cancer,at least Proton’s workers can have some sleep. No they are dead worried the mamak will start retrenching dead wood.

Now the Proton fanboys can start dreaming of driving new Lotus Exora in their Iriz.

The power of day dreaming (a.k.a. Syok Sendiri).

Same Lorrr,I sent my son’s Saga SV for service to their Gombak bumi owned service centre yesterday.
Their staff very courteous and efficient.I was very pleased with their kindness.
However,up to 10am,there are only 2 cars under service. One year ago,you have to call up to book your time/date,just like Toyota and Nissan centres.
Your Toyota have overtaken Proton in monthly sales now.Proton’s numerous service centres are crying for business. If this continue for the next 6 months, some of these centres simply have to fold up or become “Chery” service centres.
By the way, surprisingly this Saga escape with minimal damage after an accident involving a Myvi which was written off for being unrepairable.
Actually,I believe it is the shit people at the top running this company that will surely be defunct in 2 years time.Their workers are afraid a mass layoff exercise is planned this year. What a pity.

The car debuted with a smile…
    Itll hv a facelift with a frown…

That is the one common facelift language to use for a a better distinction between the two, and vice versa

Usually the most common facelift done to a car is by changing the shape of the intake in the front bumper…

the shape of the intake usually mimics the shape of a smile…or a frown ( more aggressive looking)….

so usually , car manufacturers either debut a new model with a smile…or a frown…then swap it come facelift time…

hum FYI the Lotus Evora is only 6 years old this year so its perfectly normal for a mid-engine sports car to always have a longer production period …..

hum here’s weird coincident the Lotus Evora & Proton Exora are both 6 years old this year …..as they were conceived at the same time (The Evora 2 Months older)

Well they need to. Uncle Sam thinks their current cars are too dangerous, they can’t sell in Muhricca for now.

Facelift, with improved safety, is necessary.
