A new variant of the Kia cee’d has been revealed prior to its debut at the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. Dubbed the ‘GT Line’, the new model will slot in between the sporty Kia cee’d GT and the standard cee’d. Following its Geneva debut, the car will go on sale across Europe at the tail end of 2015.

More than just an aesthetic upgrade, the Kia cee’d GT Line will serve as a platform in which the Korean automaker will introduce an all-new 1.0 litre, T-GDi turbocharged three-cylinder engine. It pumps out 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque – more details on the new engine can be found here.

Aside from the new mill, the cee’d GT Line will also feature an updated version of Kia’s 1.6 litre CRDi diesel engine. Power figures are quoted as 133 PS and 285 Nm of torque – a hike of 5 PS and 20 Nm in its current state of tune.

In terms of transmission options, a six-speed manual is offered alongside a brand new seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. Said transmission makes its debut with Kia on the cee’d GT Line – it was first seen on the facelifted Hyundai i30 – and will be mated to the aforementioned 1.6 litre diesel engine.

In the looks department, the Kia cee’d GT Line sports a mildly revised ‘Tiger Nose’ front grille and ice-cube LED daytime running lights. All cee’d GT Line models will come with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard while the rear end includes twin exhausts outlets and a subtle rear diffuser along with LED tail lamps.

Stepping inside will reveal a cabin that features a combination of grey, white and black upholstery with contrasting grey stitching. Elsewhere, a smattering of GT Line badges, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and aluminium alloy pedals are to be found.
