Ferrari F12-based Berlinetta Lusso headed for Geneva

Teased just over a week ago, the (inhale) Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso has been revealed in all its customised glory prior to its debut at the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The curvaceous grand tourer is based on the Ferrari F12berlinetta and is expected to feature its powertrain and gearbox setup.

Where the Berlinetta Lusso differs from its more conventional Ferrari donor model is, of course, the aesthetics. The entire car appears to have a softer approach as the front end features a revised grille and front splitter design. Elsewhere, the bonnet sports two restyled air vents.

The rear end is perhaps where the Berlinetta Lusso really takes off from the F12berlinetta. Apart from a radically different rear diffuser, the car features a completely reworked rear window design. On the inside, things appear to be more familiar with only what looks like the few Prancing Horse badges being omitted.

As mentioned, propulsion should arrive courtesy of a 6.3 litre, naturally-aspirated V12 engine generating 740 hp at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm of torque – of which 80% is available from 2,500 rpm onwards. All that grunt gets transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

With the Berlinetta Lusso sharing the mechanical bits from the Ferrari, expect it to chalk up a similar 0-100 km/h time of 3.1 seconds and top out at around 350 km/h.
