Citroen appears to be hard at work building yet another budget sedan, as these photos captured from our European spies show what appears to be a C-segment-sized car undergoing winter testing.
From the looks of it, this will probably be built on the bones of the current PF2-based C4 – yes, we know the company already makes the C4 L sedan for Russia and China, but this mule doesn’t have the former’s distinctive C-pillar kink.
The styling of this car also appears to be simpler than the C4 L’s – at least from what little can be seen through all that camouflage – suggesting that this will be a no-frills sedan for emerging markets, slotting above the bargain basement C-Elysee. Despite the low-cost approach, Citroen has still seen fit to include its signature “three-dimensional” tail lights, along with a concave rear windscreen just like the C4 L.
Indeed, this could actually be a replacement for the Chinese-market C-Quatre, a localised version of the first-generation C4. If that’s the case, it should arrive in China before the end of the year, powered by a 1.2 litre PureTech turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine.

Their non-budget car also so much problem.
even the camouflage also looks bajet ahahAHaHA
Hey citroen, can you start working on the C5/C6 successor already?
C5 they should be working on already, C6 I think was canceled. There’ll be a proper big DS, but who knows when that will arrive. Hopefully it takes so much time so that it is a proper big Citroen… not just a stretched C4 like the DS5 is.
Bro, I’m waiting for the next generation C5. Do U think Citroën will keep the HydraPneumatic suspension or not?
Any chance this will come to our local car market? We need more European marques in C segment market..
