This is the new Ford Figo Aspire, a new sub-four metre sedan that’s made its debut in the Indian market. Essentially a booted version of the A-segment Ford Ka, it has finally gone into production after being previewed in February 2014 at the Delhi Auto Expo as the Ford Figo Concept.
The development of sedans shorter than four metres in length are driven by the Indian market because of duty structures that favour cars shorter than four metres. This results in all kinds of strange looking cars like a Suzuki Swift sedan of all things, but the Ford Figo Aspire actually manages to look balanced, relatively.
The Ford Figo Aspire features a device dock which allows the driver to store, mount and charge mobile phones, MP3 players and satellite navigation systems, and to integrate these devices into the car’s entertainment system. There’s also SYNC with AppLink as an option.
Engine options include a 1.5 litre TDCI turbodiesel which is a must for India, and a 1.2 litre Ti-VCT petrol. Safety-wise, the Figo Aspire comes with driver and passenger airbags as standard, but in what Ford says is a first for a small car in India, there’s the option for side and curtain airbags, taking the airbag count up to six.
It won’t be limited to India – Ford says the new Sanand plant in Gujarat, India where the Figo Aspire will be built will also export variants of the car globally.

Persona!
I don’t care whether is is persona copy or not. As long as the car is safe and good quality, I will buy.
previous ford figo 0 start crash test…..
That one was tested without any airbags although it has reasonably strong chassis frame. No doubt, airbags increase chances of survival in case of an accident (but this is applied more to adults) but strong chassis as well as proper wearing and working seatbelts are also crucial for occupant survival.
Look at its exterior and interior, then you know Malaysian kena conned gao gao by its almighty Proton.
Junk sold at premium price, only happened in bolehland.
And because of junk, Malaysians have to pay so much extra for good car (Toyota is the best example).
Still cannot beat Toyota moving coffin
i thought this is new Proton Saga..
But Buy Toyota better for better RV
STFU dude. RV is not a concern here. Look at your Toyotas with 18th century tech.
Your brain also 10000 years old design. So you wanna replace it with Apple A8 chip? That will make you smarter?
Newer doesn’t mean better. You not necessarily smarter than your grandpa!
Yes, RV=regret value
If Ford wants to bring it here and price it at the same price as the Mitsubishi Mirage, I’d buy it!
Holy guacamole! Is that a Persona from the rear??
looks better than Proton Saga inside/out.
It says a lot when a big car manufacturer like Ford is copying the back end of Proton’s Persona. Well done Proton!
The back resembles a bit like our potong persona. But the car looks cheap indeed, dunno that’s good or not, considering the resemblance to the persona (yes I am take a cheap shot at potong :P)
Don’t worry Proton, if Sime Darby sell it here the price is sure RM80K. Takut nanti Saga tak laku.
Looks cute with the Aston Martin front.
This probably sells RM25k in India
But when comes to bolehland the price becomes RM68k starting
Looks cute with Aston Martin front

But when comes to bolehland the price suddenly becomes starting from RM68K before gst
GST will turunkan harga barang, so cukurla this car will sell here for RM 67,999.99
Alamak, rear look like combination of Gen2 & Polo Sedan.
