The facelifted Infiniti QX50 (ex-Infiniti EX) has been revealed for the North American market sporting a revised front fascia with the marque’s ‘double-arch’ front grille, LED daytime running lights, new side mirrors with LED turn signals and 18-inch eight-spoke wheels – 19-inch wheels are an option.
Cosmetic enhancements aside, the Infiniti QX50 now boasts a wheelbase that’s up to 81 mm longer than the outgoing model, providing rear occupants with an additional 109 mm and 99 mm worth of legroom and knee room, respectively. Elsewhere, the optional Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System includes a touchscreen display along with Lane Guidance and Infiniti Voice Recognition for audio and navigation functions.
Further options include a Bose Premium Audio System that features 11 speakers along with the usual host of USB/iPod connectivity and an AM/FM/CD in-dash changer. Opting for the Premium Plus Package includes the Around View Monitor system which uses four cameras to give a 360-degree view of the surroundings.
Under the bonnet, the QX50 is powered by a VQ37VHR 3.7 litre V6 engine – said mill pumps out 325 hp and 362 Nm of torque. The sole transmission offered is a seven-speed automatic gearbox with Downshift Rev Matching and Adaptive Shift Control technology. Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system is an option.
The QX50 comes as standard with Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System, comprised of a driver and front passenger seat-mounted side-impact air bags and roof-mounted curtain air bags along with a tyre pressure monitoring system. Also standard are ABS, Brake Assist, traction control and EBD while Intelligent Cruise Control and Blind Spot Warning are offered as options.

Very good increase in legroom. Though I think this is more of a minor surgery rather than just a facelift. Don’t think i’ve heard any facelifts that involve change to the overall structure like this. Just wish they’d done more to the dashboard, which looks uninspiring.
The interior look so murano like when it should stand out from the its ‘non-luxury’ brand..
