Look what we found! We spotted the facelifted Renault Fluence – which is due to be launched tomorrow – running around undisguised near Jaya One, PJ.
Unfortunately, we could not get a photo of the front – where the main changes vis-a-vis the old car are located – but clear to see in this rear shot are the new LED tail lights (which seem to be optional items, as the press pictures of the new car did not have them), as well as a fully body-coloured rear bumper.
Of course, we know what the rest of the changes are – there’s a new, heavily restyled front fascia that matches Renault’s latest design direction, with a reshaped grille (carrying a bigger Renault diamond badge) and larger, more aggressive lower air intakes.
Renault Malaysia introduced the Fluence in May last year, priced at RM115,000. The figure has since dropped to RM113,888 after GST. The locally-assembled 2.0 litre sedan is one of the better-equipped models in its class, with standard-fit 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, navigation, six airbags and ESP.
Earlier this year, the Fluence Black Edition was announced, which included a full exterior and interior makeover. The price asked is RM118,888, post-GST. We’ll have more on the Renault Fluence facelift when it is launched tomorrow.

The facelifted Fluence exterior looks much better than the Elantra!
This car is the same like Kimchis, I wilk show the owner hailat trade in of Rm 20k after one year.
Much better than your jamban camry
Very rare on the road. Mayb can see it one month once
But not as rare as Suzuki Kizashi, only see once a year.
Remember renault magane, what happend to that model.
Renault will be lucky if he can sell 10 fluence a year!
Malaysians have been burnt over and over by french and italian cars… Still got somemore newborn suckers?
A better buy than a Pug afa French brand is concerned.
why do another facelift even its hard to sell…only saw once after their launched few months ago..renault is not a famous brand car here
Because
a) the factory in Korea is now producing this front end instead of the old one,
b) sales in Korea went up when this facelift (which is actually the 2012 European facelift, what Malaysia used to get was the 2012 Korean facelift) was launched,
c) the current Fluence is hard to sell because of the looks, and this fixes that.
Funny la most of you…give a conti car, complaint service mahal la, spare parts susah nak dapat la, donkey resale value la…give a japs car, no fun to drive la, chassis tak solid la, no traction control la, airbag 2 bijik saja la…give another alternative, Korean car, kimchi la, copy paste la, not as fuel efficient la…this car…cost of purchase less than 110k, heart is from Japs *Nissan, bloody 5 years MANUFACTURE warranty, 5 years freaking services *not a single cent pay, conti solid chassis, safety beats other in the same class *6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, spare parts….? It’s a freakin’ Nissan Teana and Slyphy underneath…banyak sangat complaint, naik kereta lembu la!!
Why u no include proton?cannot like this one
Vios is anytime better than this low RV car. Come umw to look for me Danny, I give you hailat discount.
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I like you bro.. sempoi tapi sentap bro..
Fully agree that this is hands-down the best value of money car in its segment, with one of the longer wheelbases of its class and also one of the widest.
Maybe the adoption rate is low because it’s a typical RHD French car.. which means it’s a half-assed LHD-to-RHD conversion effort with trunk opener at the passenger side and a nearly-useless glovebox that only serves to grant access to fuse boxes.. such a pity..
One of the reasons the current Fluence was rejected by buyers was the looks, and now it looks better. Lets hope that that is enough to sway customers.
the prefacelift, though rarely seen and simple in design, actually looks handsome on the road, it sure has its own stance.
looks more updated at front than previous model.
no rear sensor again.
