The Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 is now ready for production, based on Ford’s significantly-lighter, aluminium-bodied F-150 pick-up truck. Unlike the previous VelociRaptor, however, this new one will be built from a standard F-150, not the factory-tuned Raptor.
Ford’s own new Raptor isn’t due to hit the streets until next year at the earliest, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. As things stand, the Hennessey VelociRaptor is now powered by a proper 5.0 litre V8 engine instead of the V6 EcoBoost that will come into service in the new Raptor.
The Coyote V8 engine, paired with Hennessey’s “2.9 litre Supercharger System,” is said to produce 600 hp, a full 150 hp more than what the Raptor will have. There’s really no replacement for displacement, it seems.
Other than the engine upgrades, the VelociRaptor gets 17-inch wheels with massive tyres and matching flared fenders. Off-road bumpers, HPE suspension upgrade, LED light bar, winch, and a stainless steel cat back exhaust are available as options.
In the US, the Hennessey VelociRaptor will carry a price tag of $73,500 (RM264,800) with a three-year/58,000 km warranty. A retrofit package for an F-150 FX4 4×4 is available too, priced at $23,950 (RM86,300).

Yeah, not to mention at 600hp it’s three times more powerful than the Ranger 3.2
