Not long before the Fiat 500 facelift makes its debut – the refreshed Type 312, which made its debut in 2007, is expected to premiere in Frankfurt, but a preview may arrive as early as next month if the Italian automaker decides to celebrate the symbolic July 4 date with a view of the facelift; the original cinquecento made its debut on that date back in 1957.
Ahead of that, the facelift has been spotted in a garage by our spymen, with both hatchback and convertible versions to be seen. Both are heavily disguised, so the new bits are still tucked away from sight.
Reports indicate that changes will include new front and rear bumpers as well as fresh wheel designs, and the 500 is also set to be adorned with LED headlights. The interior will feature new, improved materials and equipment levels, and new bits will include the company’s Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system and a new design steering wheel. More when the time comes.
