VIDEO: Divine DS Concept driven around London

The folks at Citroen certainly know how to brand their concept cars. They decided to show off a truly unique concept car by driving it around London’s Hyde Park – it just seemed like the right thing to do.

In case you’ve forgotten, the Divine DS Concept is a precursor to DS Automobile’s plans to launch six new models by 2020. It has a ‘diamond pattern’ design code that permeates right through this car. It was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show back in 2014, and it literally stole the show. It looks positively out of this world.

The car really is an avant-garde tribute to the DS design heritage. On the inside, it embraces a new concept for interchangeable interior ambience, dubbed “Hypertypage’, where dashboard and door scrolls can be changed in just 15 minutes. Prestigious fashion names such as Lesage for embroidery and crystals from Swarovski for the headlights, door panels and dashboard make this concept utterly a one-off.

The Citroen Divine DS Concept is powered by a turbocharged direct-injection 1.6 litre THP petrol engine developing 270 hp and 330 Nm of torque. Apparently, the engine is Euro 6 compliant and emits just 145 g/km of CO2. It has a 2+2 cabin layout and should be a real hoot to drive. Even if it doesn’t, well, you’d forgive it when it looks like this, right?

This will turn more heads than a Lambo or a Ferrari. Just take a look at how the rear tail lights shut off!

  • Kinda sad that Citroen is focusing on the Chinese market now. The DS5LS looks good but it’s only for China…

Since we are rich lets support proton by buying the car and give the car to the poor as our investment for the day after…
