BMW Malaysia has begun teasing the F06 6 Series Gran Coupe LCI on its website – no details ventured, save to say that the car is coming soon. The facelifted 6 GC was unveiled last December along with the rest of the updated 6 Series LCI range, the other models being coupe and convertible body types.
As with the pre-facelift, the variant of the GC we’ll be getting will be the 640i (the other available engine variants for the type are the 650i and 640d). Currently, the listed price for the existing 640i Gran Coupe is RM780,800.
Not many changes to be found in the facelited form – the kidney grille bar count is down by one, LED headlamps are now standard and the diameter of the exhaust tailpipe has been increased by a centimetre. Elsewhere, the new-ish Design Pure Experience and Design Pure Excellence lines now feature, as do new exterior colours and a new 20-inch wheel design.
Incidentally, the website has removed mention of the third-gen 6 Series F13 Coupe and F12 Convertible, which are now only available via special order. The current price list reflects the change – it shows only the GC and M6 as the only available 6er offerings in the BMW Malaysia model lineup.

The headlamp shape is a very lazy design. Inspired from Persona?
Idiot^
Agree inspired from persona
A very modest update for the 6 GC and I guess the sales figures of the Coupe and Convertible are so low that they only bring it in on special order.
On the other hand one can get the the 6 Series @ half the price from our local importers if you don’t mind it being a few years old.

As far as I love BMW cars but I found BMW been neglecting “latest” safety package for its customers lately.
1) Pedestrian Warning with City Brake Activation.
2) Lane Departure Warning (maybe a bit useless here)
3) BMW lane change warning
4) BMW Head-Up Display
Mercedes start offering into their C-class and A-class and future Benz sold here.
Volvo been long offering to its customers.
Hope Paultan Admin able to feedback this to BMW C.E.O if meet him again in future.
Thanks in advance Paultan Admin.
True! spot on. I was driving BMW since age 40 and now I am 55. Been change 2 BMW model (7 yrs each) and now I am happy with my new C250 which comes with safety package. Dynamics is just part of the car, but safety is the most important because on the road anything can happen to you within split second.
Will they listen or not??
Take example Toyota Camry, after sales plunge like shit only they offer BSM, reverse camera….. but before that turn DEAF.
BMW been strong sales all these years. Wait llaaahhh maybe one day BMW stock their cars in garage then only their telinga BUKA and listen.
Auto brake and blind spot is more useful than the 2. Head Up display kind of gadget or to show off only but the blind spot is useful for most motorist. Anyway good luck to you ya!
“… the kidney grille bar count is down by one”
Who is counting?? If we need to look so hard to appreciate what they have done to a facelift, why bother…
enthusiasts who can afford this brand new may as well buy the legendary m3. in my opinion anyway.
