Audi’s second generation R8 supercar is set to get a soft-top roof like its predecessor. Our European “carparazzi” friends have managed to snap a few pictures of this gorgeous looking Spyder variant. As one can see from the pictures, the rear deck looks bit flatter, and there seem to be new air vents as well.
We actually have a rendering of how the production second generation Audi R8 Spyder might look like, thanks to Automedia. They’ve decided to give it a flashy orange paintwork. Do you like what you see?
Reports suggest that the Spyder will be offered with two types of performance variants. One version will have the 5.2 litre V10 engine which produces 532hp and 540 Nm of torque, while the other version, in V10 Plus form, will see approximately 601hp and 560 Nm of torque.
In terms of the drivetrain, it will obviously have Audi’s quattro four-wheel drive system with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission.
