The Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) has come up with a ‘Vehicle-free Day’ programme where the City Park, Seremban 2 area will be closed to traffic. It starts this Sunday morning from 7.30 am to 9.30 am.
“During this programme, participants can use bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, wheelchairs or simply jog leisurely and safely,” MPS president Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Latif told Bernama, adding that police and MPS enforcement personnel will be present to control traffic.
Open to all, the vehicle-free day will be a regular event that will be held on the second Sunday of every month at the same location. It is “one of the best ways to educate the public on the importance of looking after their town and the environment,” Latif said.
