Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo autonomous MPV teased

Mercedes-Benz is all set to preview its latest concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show – an MPV of the future. Not much else can be told save for a teaser image above, but it’s called the Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo and will be revealed at the show.

Stuttgart describes its latest people carrier concept as “autonomous, luxurious and progressive.” So what we can tell is that this van will definitely be able to drive itself, perhaps that’s why it looks quite similar to the F 015 Luxury in Motion concept.

It will also sport the same reflective metal glass as on the F 015 (which we’ve driven, or rather driven in), from the looks of it. Additionally, the brand also says that it’s a “vision for future generations,” so this could be an F 015 in larger proportions.

Mercedes-Benz’s previous self-driving car had a lounge-like cabin where four people could sit face-to-face, complete with screens that could be operated through touch, gesture and even eye movements. It’s powered by the brand’s F-Cell Plug-In Hybrid system which can be fuelled by electric or hydrogen.
