BMW M2 and M4 Coupe – M Performance kit for SEMA

Although unveiled just recently, BMW’s baby coupe, the BMW M2 will already be making its presence felt at this year’s SEMA show. It will star alongside its bigger brother, the BMW M4 coupe (above). Both will be kitted out with M Performance Parts, which consists of mostly cosmetic enhancements.

On both coupes will be a redesigned “M Performance” insignia that will be applied across future products at a later stage. As for the M2, it will feature black gloss kidney grilles and fender gills. Carbon-fibre is used to mould the mirror caps, rear wing, diffuser and exhaust tips.

Inside, it gets a thicker-rimmed steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara cover and dressed in a carbon-fibre trim. Additionally, the trim has also been applied to the gear lever and centre console, while the pedals are adorned with stainless steel covers. Underneath the M2 coupe, is a new sports suspension system and a sports exhaust with a flap system.

The other is an M4 Coupe, also garbed in M Performance parts as well. These include front bumper inserts made with carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), high gloss black trims, a rear wing, and signature racing stripes. Additionally, it features a steel exhaust duct and a full-titanium rear silence with carbon-fibre tips.

Interior wise, it is fitted with a new steering wheel rim with a blue centre marking, wrapped in Alcantara Anthracite. Furthermore, it gets carbon-fibre door and handbrake handles with an Alcantara gaiter. One can also find stainless steel pedal covers, while unique are LED door projectors.

BMW says that an announcement for the M Performance parts for the BMW M2 Coupe will be made sometime in March 2016. As for the M4, a few of the M Performance Parts will be on sale by January 2016, the entire range will only be officially available at American BMW dealers by June 2016.
