Official distributor for the Nissan brand in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), has announced the start of a long-term collaboration with AirAsia BIG, the loyalty programme of AirAsia. The duo will be working together on a number of projects throughout 2016, although details of the partnership remain undisclosed.
“We have exciting plans in the works to continue working together well into the next year, and we look forward to a strong alliance that will benefit both parties and our customers,” said ETCM executive director Datuk Ang Bon Beng.
“Partnering with ETCM is a meaningful way for AirAsia BIG to make possible for holiday goers to travel to their favourite holiday destinations,” said AirAsia BIG CEO Alice Goh. “Customers don’t just get to enjoy an adventurous drive on the road with their Nissan vehicles, but also the rewarding experience of travelling by air for free with their BIG Points.”
The announcement was made at today’s prize presentation ceremony of ETCM’s Millionaire Drive campaign – the first such collaboration between the two companies – where 15 customers who purchase and register a Nissan in the month of October would be in the running to win BIG Points from a total of 1,000,000 points.
Grand prize winner Che Zainun Tun binti Mohammed, who purchased a Nissan Almera 1.5E AT in Kota Bharu, won a total of 300,000 BIG Points. This would enable her to travel as many as five free return trips to Tokyo, Sydney, Beijing, Seoul or a number of other local destinations.
It was also announced at the event that the campaign would be extended to the months of November and December, due to the success of the campaign in October.
