Land Rover Defender Limited Edition-01

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLRM) has launched the Land Rover Defender Limited Edition as a tribute to the iconic off-roader, which will cease production by the end of the year. It’s fitted with 13 accessories exclusively for the Land Rover Defender Double Cab pick-up.

Items include a chequered plate set, a roof rack, a snorkel, side protection runners, an A-frame protection bar, a set of four spotlights, a rear step bumper assembly, a 9.5cti WARN electric winch, winch accessories kit, bumper mounting, five off-road tyres and a Santorini Black paint scheme for the body and wheels.

“This special Land Rover Defender Limited Edition is a tribute to a much-loved 4X4 icon as the last of the current Land Rover Defenders will roll-off the production lines by the end of the year, marking the end of an era. There is no better time than now to buy this collectors’ vehicle,” said JLRM managing director, Tuan Syed Mudzahar Syed Ali.

The Land Rover Defender Limited Edition can be customised to order and is priced at RM153,888 plus RM65,388 for the Limited Edition Accessories package, including labour charges and GST. Buy now. In 50 years time, the price will be 5 fold for mint condition. Of course, it is for your offspring to share the booty.

Sad to see another iconic car put to rest. Love its everlasting classic and yet macho look! Sadly not much has been done to improve its engine performance over the years, making it outdated compared to the modern 4WDs. Where it lacks in performance, it wins in terms of its looks. After so many years, it can still turn heads and does not look sissy like many modern 4WDs.

  • It just nice to see this thing on the road but not to own it. The good owning this car is this car can be repaired at any workshop and many specialist could be found at Cameron highland.
Seriously if I am a farmer, I would choose a pickup 4×4 due to extra rooms for loading. Anyway now this Defender has become a real passenger car on the road. I have seen quite a few defender owner restore the old models with aluminium body part.
