Japanese tuning firm Wald International has released the first set of images that previews its new Black Bison styling kit for the Mercedes-AMG GT. No official details have been released, but that said, the package is purely a cosmetic one.
Most noticeable is the new front bumper, which comes complete with a black front splitter and a thin white strip that flows across it. The coupe’s side profile has also been enhanced with side skirts along with chrome trim and a set of four five-double-spoke alloy wheels.
Down the back, the two-door coupe gets a new black bumper with a rear diffuser, complete with elongated L-shaped vents slitted on the sides. A low-profile rear spoiler has also been mounted to the back-end of the coupe’s rear hatch.
As mentioned, the Black Bison styling kit is entirely aesthetic, so the engine is untouched. Powering the Mercedes-AMG GT coupe is a 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo paired with a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission. The base GT produces 456 hp and 600 Nm of torque and goes from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 308 km/h.
The more powerful variant, is the Mercedes-AMG GT S. With the same V8 engine and the same seven-speed transmission, the GT S produces a greater output of 510 PS and 650 Nm of torque. It achieves the century sprint in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 310 km/h. The Mercedes-AMG GT S is currently on sale in Malaysia, priced at RM1.125 million.
