With a rich history behind its current range of models, Porsche has opened the first-ever centre dedicated to its vintage cars in the Netherlands. Porsche Classic Centre Gelderland will concentrate on providing both sales and service of classic Porsche vehicles.
According to the brand, more than 70% of vintage Porsche models are still running in today’s day and age. With that, the German brand is also looking to expand its Porsche Classic Partners network to some 100 locations by the year 2018. The company currently has 24 Porsche Classic Partners globally.
These locations will be traditional Porsche dealerships that have been provided with additional support and training, which qualify them to work on these vintage Porsche models. Aside from repairs and maintenance, said dealerships will be able to undertake partial and complete overhauls as well. The dealerships will also give owners access to some 52,000 original spare parts.
The company is planning to open up a few more Porsche Classic Centre around the world. Countries that the brand is said to be considering expanding into includes Australia, Belgium, Canada and the United States.
