Twitter user RudyB001 has caught what appears to be the new Aston Martin DB11 on camera (it has since been removed). The shot of the successor to the DB9 was said to have been taken at a customer clinic. The DB11 will of course be making its official debut at the Geneva motor show next week.
From the picture above, we can see that the DB11 sports a larger front grille compared to the DB9. What can be seen more clearly now are those boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights. The bulging bonnet and what seems to be a carbon-fibre front spoiler, also add to the DB11’s sporty look. Where’s DB10? That’s 007’s ride.
Elsewhere, Autojunk.nl claims to have received a full shot of the DB11’s rear and side profile, undisguised. The supercar was reportedly going through a film shoot somewhere in Spain. From the looks of it, there’s a rear spoiler that intersects the sleek rear tail lamps, while a large rear diffuser is present.
Interior pictures have also been captured earlier last year showing the DB11 test mule’s internals. The spyshots showed a number of components borrowed from Mercedes-Benz (part of a technical collaboration), including the steering wheel, full-digital instrument cluster, climate controls along with the rotary controller and the switchgear for the COMAND infotainment system.
The DB11 is expected to feature a new platform and a lightweight suspension among other things. As for power, expect a new 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12 engine that’s capable of producing up to 600 hp. Word is that Mercedes-AMG’s 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine could be included as part of the DB11’s engine line-up in the near future.
