Here’s a look at the new, facelifted Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The model has been refreshed for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show which happens next week, but blink and you’ll absolutely miss the changes.
Particularly, the new Giulietta gets slightly tweaked headlights, a new front grille, a reprofiled front bumper with a new red insert and new alloy wheels. Alfa hasn’t revealed any specific details on its updated hatch yet, but leaked presentations slides confirm the limited changes.
Performance wise, the Giulietta is said to carry forward the current 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine in multiple tunes and a Multijet 2.0 litre diesel mill. Both mills may come with minor upgrades in terms of power output, efficiency and emissions, but we’ll have to wait for official Alfa confirmation first.
It is also said that the new Giulietta will from here on drop the Quadrifoglio Verde name in favour of a new “Veloce” designation. Performance of the new Veloce variant is expected to mirror the outgoing QV, with similar mechanicals including the 237 hp 1.75 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
