VIDEO: Gymkhana 8 sees the Fiesta ST RX43 roar in Dubai – wild Focus RS RX for Gymkhana 9 teased

As promised, the Hoonigan is back with Gymkhana Eight – Ken Block’s latest outing sees him taking to the streets of Dubai in his Ford Fiesta ST RX43, the exploits captured for posterity in a nine-minute video on Ford Performance’s YouTube channel.

Plenty of action, as you’d expect from the man, covering his usual trademark automotive hijinks across the city and into the desert, and there’s even a Boeing 747 involved as well.

The video also teases the Hoonigan’s ride in his next outing – for Gymkhana Nine, Block will be tearing around in a Focus RS, but this looks nothing like the regulation C346 range-topper. The RS RX, as it’s called, has no shortage of body panel extensions, to say the least.

So, a custom-built 845 hp four-wheel drive 1965 Ford Mustang (called the Hoonicorn RTR) for Gymkhana Seven, the Fiesta ST for Eight, and a Focus RS for Nine. What’s for Gymkhana Ten then, we wonder?

This is awesome! How could Ford manage to close the road inDubai for this shot? It’s very very entertaining and not to mention it’s far far far better than lousy R3 endurance race video. Btw are they really serious this RS can outrun Bugatti Veron?

How about a F-150 truck modified for gymkhana? That would add something different to the series.

  • Love the creative way Dubai promotes their places. If I’m the one drifting the car, the public & property damage will be more than 2.6 bilion.
