Kahn Design has unveiled its coachbuilt Aston Martin DB9 at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show this year. Called the Vengeance, the car should be a hit for those who aren’t satisfied with a simple customisation job (wheel change, new paint) and demand something more.
That is exactly what the Vengeance delivers. Although the car’s profile still whispers of the DB9, nearly everything on the car’s exterior is bespoke. This includes the aluminium front wide wings, rear wide body, doors, bonnet, roof and side vents, all of which are painstakingly hammer formed.
The new design extends to include a new sculpted front bumper (with carbon-fibre splitter) and wide grille made of billet aluminium, with the car’s name engraved on the bottom. More sculpted bits involve the Vengeance’s side skirts and carbon-fibre rear bumper diffuser.
At the rear, there are new LED roulette-style tail lights and stainless steel exhaust tailpipes. Finishing touches here sees a polished stainless steel roof halo and window trim, plus 20-inch alloys at the front and 21-inch ones at the rear.
The interior resembles that of the DB9, with equipment such as Bluetooth connectivity, climate control and full leather upholstery still in place. Similarly, the Vengeance continues to employ the DB9’s 5.9 litre V12 with 510 hp.
Want one? Well, get your orders in quick as Kahn will only be making five units of the Vengeance yearly. Considering the amount of work required and the exclusivity of the thing, we don’t expect the price tag to be cheap either, which is why Kahn hasn’t provided word on pricing – but says it will be a “sound investment.”
