BHPetrol Infiniti Euro 5 Diesel now available at Tapah R&R stop – coming soon to Perak, Penang and Pahang

bhp tapah rnr station

Boustead Marketing has announced that its BHPetrol Infiniti Euro 5 Diesel is now available outside of the Klang Valley and Southern region – the fuel is available at the BHPetrol station at the Tapah rest area along the North-South Highway (southbound, heading towards KL). The company added that the fuel will be available to motorists in Perak, Penang and Pahang over the next few months.

Introduced in Johor in November 2014 amid tightening emissions requirements in Singapore (which would have resulted in Malaysian vehicles falling foul of the republic’s new emission regulations, and being barred from entering the country), the fuel made its way to the Klang Valley in August last year.

As at the end of February 2016, there are 62 stations selling Infiniti Euro 5 Diesel in the country, with the stations being located in Johor, Melaka and the Klang Valley. The majority of these are in the Klang Valley, where there are 37 stations retailing the fuel. A complete and updated list of stations can be found here on the BHPetrol website.

The Euro 5 diesel costs 10 sen more per litre than regular Euro 2M diesel at the pump, and currently retails for RM1.45 per litre (for March 2016). The fuel has a sulphur content of only 10 parts per million (ppm), compared to 500 ppm for current Euro 2M diesel. This new formulation will reduce emissions of harmful pollutants and increase the longevity of current diesel engines.

Government should make the lorries, busses (Metrobus especially) to use Euro 5. they are the main cause of pollution in Malaysia.

But Government too scared to get this done cause all the construction companies and bus companies are owned by their own Ministers themselves.

It is high time all lorries and busses use Euro 5 and abolish the Euro 2M completely. Otherwise, no point inttroducing the Euro 5M. Not many 320d, 520d and Ford Focus and Santa Fe CRDI around that can pollute the country like all our busses and lorries

i guess it’s CBU imported direct from japan. japan’s demio (mazda2) got 1.5 SkyActiv-Diesel. if we have nationwide Euro 5 diesel available at all stations, we’d get good diesel cars in our country. sadly our gov is not proactive.

  • Any other fuel companies are planning the same? Pls. bring it to Kota Kinabalu as well, as I don’t want the upcoming B10 or B15 diesel to kill my diesel engine slowly.

  • Bhp always good, i would drive 10-20km just to pump their ron97 4m, cuz my place only got 3 bhp stations.. Only 1 station has ron97…
Huge difference if i use ron97 from shell/petronas… My 325i always like to rev hold on bhp ron97 and the engine feels light and smooth…

    I love BHP!!!

    • Hi, can you elaborate more? I’m currently using Petronas Primax 97. Is it 4M? What do you mean by saying that your 325i likes to rev hold? What’s the difference you experience when you use Ron 97 from shell/petronas? Looking forward to your reply.
