Facelifted Mitsubishi ASX – Asian debut in Beijing

Mitsubishi has announced that it will be giving its facelifted ASX its Asian premiere at Auto China 2016 later this month. The compact crossover features the new Dynamic Shield front design – which revises the front end – first seen on the Outlander Sport facelift that debuted in Los Angeles last November.

Aside from the new fascia, the refreshed ASX that will be seen in Beijing will also wear restyled 17-inch wheels, which the automaker says provides for a more athletic and energetic look.

No mention of interior revisions, but the Chinese market-ASX should also be getting the minor rework seen in the North American refresh. Changes include new material for the fabric seats, a new grey trim option, a re-dressed steering wheel wrapped in leather with piano black accents and controls for infotainment/cruise control functions as well as a redesigned audio system with an improved 6.1-inch display.

Assembled in China by GAC Mitsubishi Motors, domestic production and sales of the facelifted ASX will begin this later this month.
