Minor refresh for Audi A6 family and A7/S7 Sportback

Audi has given its handsome A6 and A7 Sportback models a minor refresh that includes slightly sharper exterior design, interior enhancements and new equipment.

The new model year changes see the A6 sedan and Avant wagon gain contours that surround the air inlets in the new front apron, and struts in high-gloss black that divide the lateral ventilation grilles horizontally. The side sill and rear bumper are also more angular in shape. A new diffuser provides the finishing touch.

With the S line exterior package, the latest A6 comes with a new radiator grille with a frame painted in matte black. The slats are finished in gloss chrome. Chrome struts accentuate the side air inlets.

Two new paint colours – Matador red and Gotland green – join the catalogue, while Java brown, previously an A6 Allroad-exclusive, is now available for all A6 and A7 models. There are two new wheel designs for the A6 Sedan and Avant; three for the A7 Sportback.

LED lighting introduces new highlights to the interior and the luggage compartment of the updated cars. As options, Audi offers new inlays in Aluminum Ellipse silver and fine grain birch natural agate gray. Buyers of the A6 allroad can also pick Aluminum Ellipse bronze.

Connectivity and on-board entertainment have also been upgraded. The Audi smartphone interface brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the MMI monitor. Other new features include the inductive Qi charging function of the Audi phone box. Two detachable Audi tablets keep the rear passengers entertained.

Audi has also worked on visually differentiating the A6 Allroad quattro further to reinforce the rugged Avant’s off-road character. The Advanced package is available as an option for all engine versions.

Outside, it includes the new Soho brown paint contrasted with Structure gray for the add-on parts, and 20-inch wheels are available. Inside, the pack includes sport seats in Valcona leather. The hide is in Santos brown with new silver contrasting stitching that matches the Aluminum Ellipse silver and fine grain birch natural agate gray inlays. The floor mats are in velour. No price increase for all updated cars.
