Audi A6 1.8 TFSI – now priced from RM288,900 OTR

2015-audi-a6-1.8-driven-local-review- 107

This will be just the thing if you happen to be in the market for an Audi A6 1.8 TFSI. The base-level offering of the revised C7 range in the country is now nearly RM40k cheaper, and will be so until the end of this month.

A quick visit to the Audi Malaysia website reveals that pricing of the facelifted A6 range now starts from RM288,900, on-the-road without insurance. The revised pricing is part of the Real Deal offer the company is offering until May 31, or while stocks last

When it was launched in August last year, the 1.8 TFSI was priced at RM324,900, and in January this was increased to RM327,900 as part of the company’s price revision exercise for 2016, so the announced price is RM39k off that.

The variant is powered by a turbocharged 1.8 litre engine which puts out a total of 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque from 1,400 to 4,100 rpm, and the mill is paired with a seven-speed S tronic double-clutch transmission. Performance figures include a century sprint time of 7.9 seconds fand a 233 km/h top whack for the front-wheel drive model.

No change in pricing for the other A6 model in the local lineup. The 3.0 TFSI quattro variant, which has 333 hp and 440 Nm on tap, is still priced at RM487,900, as announced during the price revision in January.

Previous buyers who paid full price must be banging their heads against the Audi bonnet now

not to worry, only very very few of them and those who bought an A6 with the original price wouldn’t care much anymore.

however, they still better than those UMW Toyotaik jamban car owners that consistently banging their heads against their beloved taik car bonnet and very flimsy rooftop (expect a luxury car feeling, but quality is worse than even local cars)

Audi Malaysia will only slash prices on cars that DONT SELL. This car hardly come with any goodies all the driver assistance features, the cool matrix lights and etc are all reserved for the 3.0 version. A very bad move indeed.

Audi did something similar to their A4 1.8, but they put in the B&O speakers, navigation and etc for free…which costs more than 30k as an option.

  • See see?. No need to worry when automakers increase price. Just boycott for a while and price will come down again

They should bring the 2.0 quattro for A6. 1.8 is small for the big body.

      CC mentality.

I don’t mind the extra power, but these days the relation between engine capacity and power output is no longer directly proportional.

More like they aren’t selling any units so they have to cut the price especially when BMW has EEV status for its 5 Series
