Announced last week, Honda Malaysia has officially introduced its Dark Ruby Red Pearl exterior colour for the HR-V, and some new images have also come about.
The shade, similar to that introduced for the City, replaces Crystal Black Pearl and joins Ruse Black Metallic, Taffeta White and Modern Steel Metallic in the available palette line-up for the compact SUV. Alabaster Silver Metallic has also been dropped from the HR-V colour list, but word is that a new shade will replace that in due time.
Aside from the new colour, the vehicle is now dressed in 17-inch alloy wheels similar to Thai- and Indonesian-spec HR-Vs, and the new wheel – which replaces the 16-inch unit found previously – features on all three available variants, the base 1.8L S, the mid-spec 1.8L E and top-range 1.8L V.
There’s also a new optional rear shelf, which is priced at RM550 (inclusive of GST). The changes also come with a price hike of RM672.44 across the range. The 1.8L S now retails for RM99,129.67 (previously RM98,457.23), while the 1.8L E will set you back RM108,481.63 (previously RM107,809.19). For the top-spec 1.8L V, it will now cost you RM118,606.03 (previously RM117,933.59).
No other changes, mechanical or otherwise, to the HR-V, which was launched in Malaysia in February last year. Honda says it is targeting to sell 1,500 units a month of the SUV, and adds that wait times for the vehicle remains at one to two months.

Honda clearing leftover Red paints originally for their City.
If you have driven a nissan or toyota, you will realised how noisy a honda
@Enal: I couldn’t agree more. In my current household we have vehicles from all three makes; Honda’s NVH by far, the poorest of the three. Poor noise insulation on the undercarriage, engine hood and doors (on the driver’s at least).
Are you referring to the locally assembled Hondas or both the CBUs as well?
Honda learned from proton to make more noise in the cabin.. So buy Toyota better!
dont think theres many CBU hondas around from Honda malaysia
agree on toyota & nissan.
i dont mind a bit of noise rather than a dull drive…
zZz…
over-ratted car, over priced 2WD vechicle.Gve us better value for money, not just fading colors.
Than u should just buy a 2nd hand kembara.
If this is bad, check out Toyota Rush top spec!
and the prices keep on rising
So Proton unused/left over ruby red sold to Honda.
What about the headlamps ? Stay the same ?
Maybe will change @ facelift.
With new colors, Mind as well just bring in the RS model like in Indonesia and Thailand. More people will surely buy it than this Ruby Red color.
Honda Should improve the interior quality too and etc.
Its very outdated compared to some of their other Japanese rivals in terms of build quality and base features.
They should have 6 airbags and full DRL’s as standard for example.
