2016 Honda Civic gets Black Pack option in Australia

Honda Civic Black Pack 1

Honda Australia only recently begun accepting pre-orders for the 2016 Honda Civic Sedan. When the tenth-generation model hits dealerships there in June, it will be available with a new Black Pack, a genuine Honda accessory pack (similar to Modulo).

The pack will be offered for all five variants of the Australian-market Civic, including the 1.8-litre VTi and VTi-S, and the 1.5-litre turbocharged VTi-L, RS and VTi-LX. On all variants aside from the RS, the Black Pack will cost AUD$2,998 (RM8,796), with the one fitted on the RS priced at AUD$2,298 (RM6,746).

What you get with the Black Pack are 17-inch wheels, in black of course, with buyers having to pay an extra cost for tyres. Other exterior updates here include a front bumper lip spoiler, side skirts, mirror caps, boot lid spoiler and grille, all finished in black. As the RS variant already has some of its bits (grille) finished in black, this explains the difference in pricing.

Honda Civic Black Pack 2

Currently, Honda Australia has notched up almost 200 pre-orders for the Civic and expects the number to hit 300 by the end of the month. The Australian-market Civic is built at Honda’s Prachinburi Plant in Thailand.

Closer to home, we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Civic FC (estimated in Q2 2016), which is currently accepting bookings. We managed to catch a glimpse of the local-spec car as it starred in a video shoot in Putrajaya recently, and reviewed the car while in Chiang Mai.

You too can view the new Civic in person as Honda Malaysia will be previewing the model at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) from May 20 to 22. Stay tuned to paultan.org for a full gallery and updates.

That money will be used to resurface roads, to cover the operation costs for hospitals, schools, fire stations, army and police.

Seems like a worthy cause, so why not?
