2016 Toyota Previa/Estima facelift – new interior pics

2017 Toyota Previa_Estima leaked image-01

Not long ago, images of the facelifted Toyota Previa (Estima in Japan) emerged online. Now, a blog on Livedoor has posted new images which show the vehicle’s full frontal portion, rear and dashboard. According to the blog, the MPV will likely open for bookings In Japan this month.

Based on the images, the rear doesn’t seem to have changed all that much, appearing almost the same as the current model, save for new graphics within the tail lamps. Clearer pictures of the front of the facelifted Previa/Estima show sharper headlamps, a new hexagonal grille and bumper and what looks to be vertical LED daytime running lights.

The family MPV comes with a strip of chrome on the side. From here, it looks like it will be available with a two-tone colour scheme as well (red and black).

Also of significance would be the interior. As seen in the image above, the dashboard will see a major revision. Noticeable is a new instrument cluster with multi-info display, a new multifunction steering wheel, a piano black centre console with a large touchscreen infotainment display and chrome detailing across the dash.

Meanwhile, the new model is said to be coming with a choice of Toyota’s Safety Sense P and C packages in Japan. Safety Sense P includes the pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and radar cruise control, while Safety Sense C also include the pre-collision system, along with lane departure alert and auto high beam functions.

According to reports, the Estima will only be available as a hybrid model in Japan, with the 3.5 litre V6 petrol unit dropped. It will instead be made available with a 150PS/190 Nm 2AZ-FXE 2.4 litre engine complemented by two electric motors – a 17 hp motor at the front and a 24 hp motor at the rear axle.

      Agree mohdfaiz,
RM250k car/mpv with no ESP and 2 airbags. Lawakla umw. Ford s max, rm240k, complete with all those things. Grand c4 picasso too. Sharan, and i believe many other mpvs.

When i asked their seller (umw toyota), they blamed toyota japan.

I admire toyota’s products. It has been the greatest compare to honda, nissan. But with this attitude from umw, looks like i will not buy toyota’s product just yet.

still not as much as the Avanza and Rush yet, more to time.

This is the best MPV in class with superb reliability and good RV.

Steering wheel & dashboard remind me of Mercedes- Benz L Series lorry in the 80’s. Toyota badly need new bloods & talents for designing exterior & interior. They are fast becoming like Jap brands like National- Technics- Panasonic, overtaken by Korean at will & try to play catch-up game with horrible outcomes. No change mindset, then Toyota will be faded into own grave zones like zombies, neither alive nor dead.
