KESAS Highway users get 10% discount this Raya

KESAS highway

Konsortium Expressway Shah Alam Selangor (KESAS), the concessionaire of the Shah Alam Expressway (E5 or better known as the KESAS Highway) has announced a 10% discount for all users of the highway on July 6, the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The discount will start at 12:01am and end at 11:59pm on July 6. With the discount, Class 1 (vehicles with two axles and three or four wheels excluding taxis) vehicle owners will pay a toll rate of just RM1.80 instead of RM2.00 on the day. Keep in mind that toll collection is fully electronic on the KESAS Highway as of March this year.

“This discount is a token of our appreciation to Kesas motorists. Motorists are also encouraged to make electronic toll payment to benefit from the discount as well as to help smoothen traffic flow,” said KESAS CEO Imran Gulcharan Abdullah in a report by The Star.

Give only 10% discount? What a rip off!

Why give discount once a year when 364 days you screw us?

Malaysia is a super rich country. Unfortunately, few people are stealling so much of wealth. They are stealing not in the millions but in the BILLIONS now. Mr RM2.6 bil man is only one person. There are many people like him all stealing billions.

If all these individuals stop stealing, all tolls can be abolished. Every single highway in Malaysia can be free. Unfortunately, until this group of people stop stealing, we all have to pay tolls

  • I don’t get it. These people take so much our money on normal days where there’s more cars on the highway and now they’re giving discounts during holidays when there’s less cars on the road. Only in Bolehland.

It just an eye wash anyway! Usage for the City express ways will be light (Including KESAS) as most people will be back in Kampungs to celebrate.
