All-new Citroen C3 gets leaked ahead of June 29 reveal

2017 Citroen C3 leaked 4

The all-new Citreon C3 isn’t set for a debut until June 29. However, Cocoric Auto has leaked the first pictures of the B-segment car, and it appears that the C4 Cactus has a strong influence on the model’s design.

First up, the new face shares a similar look with the C4 Cactus crossover, featuring a slim grille, with LED DRLs, large headlamps and fog lamps. The doors are fitted with Citroen’s Air Bumps and there is plastic body cladding on other areas of the car.

The cheerful and funky design is further enhanced with a two-tone red and white paintjob, with certain parts of the car like the fog lamp surrounds and side mirrors finished in the former. Rounding things up are a set of alloy wheels wearing a unique design.

Inside, the C3 undergoes the same radical overhaul as the exterior. The new layout is cleaner and more upmarket than before. The minimalistic approach is seen on the nearly every area of the cabin, from the air-con vents to the switchgear. A variety of colour schemes will likely be offered aside from the red and black combo seen here.

According to the source, the new C3 is much larger than its predecessor, measuring 3,990 mm long, 1,750 mm wide, with a wheelbase that 2,540 mm. It is however shorter in terms of height by 40 mm, standing at 1,470 mm. Cargo capacity is said to be 300 litres.

In terms of equipment, the C3 will reportedly be offered with a ‘ConnectedCam’ – a high-definition camera that can take pictures and record short videos in the event of an accident. A new infotainment system with smartphone compatibility (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) will also likely be available. The safety suite is said to feature blind spot and lane departure warning systems.

More details about the new Citroen C3 will be revealed once the model is officially revealed. The third-generation replaces its seven-year old predecessor and will likely be offered in a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

Citroens and Fiats are such good cars. They do so well in Europe. Pity it failed in Malaysia. All because both the distributors like to sleep on the job (like MAS staff).

20 years ago, if you go to Torino Motors, the then distributor of Fiat, you will see staff sleeping on the job despite customers being in the showroom. This is why they failed. this is why MAS also failed.

But don’t worry, Perkasa will come and say, it is the right of Malaysians to sleep on the job!

  • buy honda la , you got unfunction airbag

    • Not unfunctional airbag .

Honda cars carry TAKATA airbags that function to kill drivers perhaps passengers

Not even worth a single penny to buy such stupid junkie Honda cars even the new Civic or whatever.

Talking about RV , go fly kite when their safety airbags create after life easily.

Only third world people like malaysians will buy Honda . Why ?

      1) Thinking about good RV only with Honda

      2) Life is cheap for average Malaysian with no RV

Even other New Proton cars are way safer than any honda CARS (may include the latest Perdana — again another surrogate from HONDA )

It’s cute, it’s fun, and I quite like the C4 Cactus. It’s a nice car to drive, too, and the 1.2 liter turbo petrol feels more powerful than it ought to looking at the numbers. IIRC it had something like 105 hp, but it feels so much more lively than the 1.2 TSI with 120-125 hp in the Golf and Seat Leon. There is plenty of torque down low, so it is nice to drive. The engine is noisy and almost sounds like a diesel, and there is no point in revving it, but considering how most people drive (i.e. not revving their engine) that is not a bad thing. Because the C4 Cactus doesn’t have a rev meter (the C3 thankfully has!) I don’t know at what revs the turbo kicks in, but it felt like 1400 rpm or so.

And judging by the excellent Peugeot 208 they should get the rest of it right, too. Hopefully it will be successful.
