2016 Renault RS16 Formula 1 replica 1

Fans of Formula One will be able to catch a lifesize model of the 2016 Renault RS 16 Formula One race car, which will be on display at selected Renault showrooms and roadshow locations from now until August 28, 2016.

The Renault RS16 currently competes in the 2016 Formula One season, and marks Renault’s return to the motorsport as a constructor after a five-year absence. This replica shows off the car’s stunning yellow and black livery that is no doubt a standout among the other cars on the race grid.

Driven by Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer, the 702 kg (with driver, cameras and ballast) Formula One race car is powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged V6 engine that has a 15,000 rpm rev limit, and outputs approximately 875 hp. The engine is mated to an eight-speed semi-automatic titanium gearbox

So, if you’re interested to get up close with the replica, and possibly snap a few photos with it, head on over to the Renault Glenmarie showroom from now till August 7. Visitors will also be able to test drive the full range of Renault models as well.

Furthermore, there will be weekend activities that are open to the public – freebies, Lego and colouring for the kids and live broadcasts by Lite FM, Era FM and Melody FM.

The ongoing “Renault – Motorsports Is in Our DNA campaign” will also offer attractive deals on selected Renault vehicles as well as a chance to win exclusive Renault Sport Formula One Team prizes, including grandstand passes and a garage visit during the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.

malaysia is so 3rd world and insignificant that we only get replicas? If Renault had any regard for Malaysians, they will bring the real cars down.

It is like displaying a mannequin of Obama and saying the US President has come to Malaysia, come see him.
