Legendary former chief test driver at Lamborghini, Valentino Balboni, has had an illustrious career spanning 40 years; he has been at the helm of cars from the Sant’Agata Bolognese supercar manufacturer since he started at Lamborghini in 1968.
Having achieved the milestone of having a car named after him – the Lamborghini Gallardo 550-2 Valentino Balboni – the former chief test driver has now set up a tuning parts company under his own brand, VB, producing aftermarket components tailored for Lamborghinis.
The first of these to be released is a titanium exhaust system made for the Aventador Superveloce, a setup tipping the scales at just 6.3 kg. Each set requires 350 hours to manufacture.
The lightweight exhaust system is set for unveiling by the man himself in Monterey Bay, California at the Concorso Italiano on August 20, 2016. Pricing details aren’t available yet, however it certainly won’t be cheap, considering the car it is intended for.
