Brabus Startech kit for Range Rover Evoque previewed at Naza Merdeka Auto Fair 2016

Startech-4

Think Brabus and typically, a Mercedes-Benz comes to mind. The tuning company doesn’t just deal in German cars, though – Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover products such as the Range Rover Evoque are also catered for via Brabus’ own sub-brand, Startech. The latter has arrived in Malaysia through Naza-Brabus, the authorised distributor for the brand.

The Startech conversion kit for the Range Rover Evoque as pictured comprises the following: front bumper (RM12,395), rear bumper (RM15,534), rear spoiler (RM3,846), 20-inch Monostar wheels (RM14,463 for four units), paint (RM1,950), 245/45/R20 Continental CrossContact tyres (RM5,936 for four units), exhaust outlet (RM130), Land Rover logo (RM236), and labour (RM2,100). Total cost for this package comes to RM56,592.

The Monostar wheels also come in 21-inch and 22-inch sizes, and to complete the look, Startech sport springs are also available to lower the vehicle by 35 mm – it’s said to be calibrated for use with low profile tyres and factory standard dampers.

So far, the Startech collection is available a la carte; the customer has free rein over what to specify his or her Evoque with. An ECU tuning kit for the diesel SD4 variant is also available, while a similar pack for the 240 hp Si4 petrol variant is in the works.

Componentry is imported from Germany, while workmanship is handled at Brabus’ own Performance Centre in Glenmarie, Selangor. All Startech products purchased through Naza-Brabus come with a three-year, 100,000km warranty.
