Despite reports to the contrary, Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta seems to be doing as it promised, and releasing several new models for the coming year. After the launch of the MV Agusta F4Z recently, another limited edition bike has joined the stable, the 2017 F3 675 RC.

Produced in a limited production run of only 350 units worldwide, the F3 RC, like its F4 RC bigger brother, is targetted towards the collector or track day enthusiast. Using the standard MV Agusta F3 as its basis, the F3 RC – RC standing for Reparto Corse, or racing department – carries a three-cylinder 675 cc triple that puts out a claimed 128 hp at 14,400 rpm and 71 Nm torque at 10,900 rpm.

The entire package is managed by MV Agusta’s Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS), which, combined with the ride-by-wire throttle, gives the rider control over four engine maps – three pre-defined and one custom – and eight levels of traction control.

On the suspension, Marzocchi provides the fully-adjustable front forks, while a Sachs monoshock suspends the rear. As is typical of performance motorcycles at this level, Brembo radial-mounted Monoblocs handle braking duties.

Graphics are reminiscent of MV Agusta’s racing machines, and mimic the livery of the World Super Sport (WSS) bikes ridden by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti. A special accessories kit accompanies each F3 RC, and includes a number plate holder, single-seat cover, paddock stand stand and custom bike cover.

In addition, each individual F3 RC comes complete with a signed certificate of origin, showing that it was hand-built in MV Agusta’s Schiranna facility. Price for the 2017 MV Agusta 675 F3 RC is published at 12,950 pounds sterling (RM66,161).
