A Facebook posting that has been going viral alleges that a member of the Kesas Highway patrol was injured at the east-ward tunnel on the Kesas Highway bike lane at 5.35 a.m. on October 21st, 2016. The injury was supposed to have been caused by a strand of wire strung across the tunnel entrance.
From a statement posted on the Kesas Highway Facebook page, no injuries were caused by the said wire, but instead it was found during a routine bike lane patrol. The statement adds that the wire was removed before any untoward incidents occurred, calling it an act of sabotage by irresponsible parties.
Kesas has filed a police report, and said that the picture going viral on Facebook was taken from police investigations into the matter. Further to this, Kesas would like to remind all motorcyclists using the Kesas Highway between the hours of 11.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. are allowed to use the main carriageway instead of the bike lane, for safety reasons.

The police must apprehend the culprits that have been terrorizing the Kesas bike lanes. A group of my cycling friends was once blocked by six robbers on motorcycles during a fun ride on Kesas highway at 6am. One of them got hit on the waist by the robbers with a weapon. I hope the police will carry out more patrolling there in the hope of catching these criminals. The group could be using the wires to block motorcyclist or cyclist in the hope of robbing them when the fall prey to the wire traps.
some people have too much time on their hands
where’s all policeman?
not the first time yo!
They shud have put CCTV near tunnel entrances/exits to catch the perp.
What is the points of installing CCTV when the victims already died or gone. With the recording, can you assure the culprits is apprehended and charged?…………will justice be served on them?
The thumb thumb kunta will come here to post fake post and thumb thumb himself. And thumb down others.
he will drag proton into this topic by hook or crook..just wait and see..
Imagine if someone ride their bikes a little bit too fast, and dicapitates their appendages because of this trap.
GJ for spotting this early before any incidents happen.
An incident did happen. I hope because a cop was injured the cops will leash out with all their power, hunt the criminals down and, erm, make sure they aren’t going to do it again. Ever.
catch the culprit and force the culprit to ride a bike towards the strung wire….
If motorcyclist are allowed to used the main lane (at night), do insurance still want to cover for accident if found out that the motorcylist are not using the motorcycle lane. I’ve heard a case at Federal Hiway (FH), accident involving motorcyclist at main lane and insurance dont cover such case, reason because FH has its own motorcycle lane.
Hope the wire has been removed.
Now we could see the KESAS operator don’t give a damn about the cyclist. They as the operator should have been patrolling the bike lane too to avoid this vandalism/sabotage happens on their route.
So sad, isn’t it? Human life and safety is not priority.
The one who caught the wire trap WAS their patrolman doing their rounds at motor lane.
Do motorcyclists pay toll charges at KESAS?
Potong leher yo ! So dangerous !!
Yay! More reasons for rempits to go racing on Kesas highway in the wee hours on the morning.
Put cameras at those places
This is why humans are the most dangerous living things on planet Earth. Their cruelty to ensure personal survival knows no bounds. They are willing to lose their humanities to satiate their need and also greed. Fiends. The scary part is, we are all humans. We all carry this inhuman (or more accurately – human) capacity for cruelty.
Evil. Whoever did this can be charged with attempted murder.
it looks like a crack
not a wire
