Petronas stops sale of NGV in Klang Valley, N9, Johor

Petronas

Taxi drivers and owners of private vehicles who have converted to NGV, take note. Petronas has temporarily suspended sales of NGV gas at its stations in three states. This means that 67 stations in the Klang Valley, Negri Sembilan and Johor will stop selling NGV until further notice.

This is to accommodate upgrading works. “Petronas Dagangan Bhd is taking more stringent safety measures at all its stations that offer the NGV facility,” the company said in a press statement, adding that it is working closely with the relevant authorities in this exercise to ensure “the highest safety standards at our premises.”

This comes after a man died when a tank containing NGV fuel exploded at a petrol station in Johor Baru last week. No change in petrol and diesel sales, as well as its Kedai Mesra convenience store operations.

If after resume sale as usual = should there be a price increase = then we know why suddenly halt of sale being done!

It is the oldest trick in the book!

That is why we need at least two more vendor that can sell NGV gas other than Petronas = same like wireless comm operator = 4G spectrum alone, gomen gives out 6 licenses…

“Currently, PETRONAS NGV Sdn. Bhd. (PNGV) is the only supplier of NGV in the country. The negative margin due to low regulated NGV pump price has not encouraged the sales of NGV by other suppliers. PETRONAS also incurs significant losses in this business, but is continuing the programme as part of its contribution and obligation to improve the quality of life and the environment in Malaysia.” – 3rd edition of the “Malaysia: Natural Gas Industry Annual Review”

haha! Do they stop selling petrol even though so many died; caught fire and burst in flames?
This is just an excuse to stop selling money losing NGV. How to make money when a full tank is only few ringgit?
