Petronas Dagangan to finish NGV maintenance ASAP

Following the shutdown of all 67 Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) outlets in the Klang Valley, Negri Sembilan and Johor on October 31, Petronas Dagangan has said it will expedite maintenance and upgrading works. “We’re working very hard to ensure the stations are operational as soon as possible,” said Aadrin Azly, retail business division head.

The shutdown followed after the death of a man when an NGV tank exploded at a Petronas fuel station in Taman Mount Austin on October 25. “We are also ensuring that in terms of safety, all the maintenance is in place, while upgrading the NGV facilities to make it efficient and safe for the public,” said Aadrin.

Aadrin further stated that Petronas Dagangan remains committed to the provision of NGV to users, reiterating that services will resume soon. He said this during the launch of the Maybank Islamic Petronas Ikhwan Visa Card-i in Kuala Lumpur.

    How many times I have seen the low life teksi drivers smoking whist putting gas into their dirty filthy cabs.

    When I scold them, all of them wanted to hantam me. Now you know why explosions happen.

    Petronas station staff also tidur inside instead of upholding the law and asking them not to smoke.

    ngv will never ignite in open air…you cannot burn the gas in open environment…ngv will only burn/ignite upon compression…that is why , engine with leaking valve will have problem when using ngv..

    ngv is not same as lpg …octane rating also different…

      NGV is natural vehicle..LPG is liquid petroleum gasses.. NGV is use LPG to operate..

    NGV is an outdated energy tech. Oil and gas by right should became a history today. Thanks to the greedy corporations and politicians from U.S like Exon Mobil and Shell, we’re still relying on these natural resources and continuing contributing to the end of the earth. The reason of Mars exploration as the future generations of these wealthy chaps could afford a ticket to live in other planet.
