The Audi R8 is no stranger to limited editions, with versions done as a homage to its success in endurance racing, as well as a one-off gold model to celebrate the marque’s scoop of Golden Steering Wheel awards.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Final Fantasy franchise will feature the mid-engined sports car designed for appearance in the Kingsglaive movie, and now Audi Japan has commissioned a one-off version based on the virtual model, called the Star of Lucis.
This movie-inspired one-off will cost its buyer 50,000,015 yen (RM2,007,816), a sum which buys an R8 with a floral motif on its front intake vents, side blades, rear spoiler and the unique wheels.
Elsewhere available in two variants, the standard R8 produces 540 hp and 540 Nm from its 5.2 litre, naturally-aspirated V10 engine which will propel it from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 323 km/h. The R8 V10 plus, meanwhile, sports 610 hp and 560 Nm, driving it to the century sprint in 3.2 seconds and to a top speed of 330 km/h.
