Nissan Note e-Power Nismo launched in Japan, RM93k

Nissan has given the Note e-Power range-extended electric vehicle a sportier streak with the introduction of the Nissan Note e-Power Nismo, joining the Note Nismo and Note Nismo S in the lineup. It’s gone on sale across Japan, at a price of 2,458,080 yen (RM92,900).

The Nismo version is differentiated from other e-Power models via a more aggressive front bumper with LED daytime running lights, side skirts and a large rear diffuser – all embellished with red highlights, as are the wing mirrors. There’s also a unique grille with Nismo badging (and blue trim to distinguish it from other Nismo models), along with 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama DNA S.drive tyres.

Inside, e-Power Nismo comes with a three-spoke Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, suede sports seats, suede door trim and aluminium accelerator and brake pedals and footrest. The instrument cluster is also unique to the Nismo, and comes with Nismo badging.

The 109 PS/254 Nm electric motor and 79 PS/103 Nm 1.2 litre HR12DE three-cylinder generator (there’s no plug-in socket on the e-Power) remain as before, but the Nismo model incorporates a specially tuned Vehicle Control Module (VCM) for increased throttle response and regenerative braking. Nissan says it provides a more “Nismo-like pleasure of driving,” whatever that means.

Under the skin, there’s a revised suspension setup, plus a strengthened front stabiliser, body reinforcement in specific areas and retuned electric power steering, which is said to provide a firmer ride and increased steering stability. Rounding things off is a large 85 mm exhaust pipe finisher, which must make this the only range-extended electric vehicle to come with such a prominent tailpipe.

Something new and refreshing. 37.2 km per litre on this range extender hybrid which is the darling of the future. It uses only the 109 PS/254 Nm electric motor to move the vehicle and the 1.2 79 PS/103 Nm engine simply fills up the battery. More practical than the Leaf in today’s environment. Bring it in Malaysia TC… give us a reason to visit your showrooms again.

  • PT has gone more better and better back these few days. I like the way it stated the price of the car so that people will have the advantages of knowing wether our car price is rightful placed or being overpriced by the umw or whatsoever company. Now the gomen will cautiously price the car at the right place. Good job PT.

OMG, the e-Power Nismo comes with a three-spoke Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, suede sports seats, suede door trim, aluminium accelerator, brake pedals & footrest.

This is usually associated with Hot Hatchback. Looks like the e-Power Nismo Note is targeting the Young & those young at heart. Bravo/Kudos to the marketing department for the effort that they bring forth.
