BMW has secured the services of Jozef Kaban (pictured on the left), who will join the BMW Group design team under chief designer Adrian van Hooydonk, replacing Karim Habib.
Previously an employee of the Volkswagen Group, Kaban was the exterior designer for cars such as the Volkswagen Lupo, SEAT Arosa, Skoda Octavia and most notably, the Bugatti Veyron. In his new role, he will be responsible for design for the core BMW brand.
This isn’t the only change to the German carmaker’s design team either, as Domagoj Dukec (pictured on the right) will head the design for future BMW i and BMW M vehicles. The 41-year old has been with the BMW Group since 2010, and his previous responsibilities included exterior design for the BMW brand as well as BMW i design.
“I am looking forward to this strengthening of the BMW Group design team. Both Jozef Kaban and Domagoj Dukec bring the experience, talent and vision we need for the future direction of our design,” said Adrian van Hooydonk.
