Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia introduces enhanced Outlander, SUV gets minor update for 2017 – RM171k

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced the introduction of an update for the Mitsubishi Outlander, and the SUV gets some fresh kit for 2017.

New features found on the seven-seater – which was launched locally last April – are an electronic parking brake as well as a shark fin antenna. The Outlander also now comes equipped with interior floor illumination lamps to better welcome occupants into the cabin.

These are added on to the existing set of comprehensive features, which include keyless entry with engine push-start button, leather seats (with heated front seats), dual-zone auto air-conditioning, cruise control, automatic headlamps and wipers and a two-DIN touchscreen head unit as standard.

The Outlander is also equipped with a sunroof, electric tailgate with anti-pinch feature, leather upholstery and auto lights and wipers. No mechanical changes for the new model year update, and the 4WD offering continues on with a 2.4 litre four-cylinder MIVEC engine which delivers 167 PS at 6,000 rpm and 222 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm.

Available in three colours (Red Metallic, White Pearl and Grey Metallic), the CBU Outlander is priced at RM171,000, on-the-road without insurance, and comes with a five year/100,000 km warranty.

Well I own one since last year and have travelled at the rear sit severally and can confirm that the air conditioner still works very well that you are oblivious of no second row vent.

  • Dear MMM,

You still have a bit of goodwill left… the new eclipse suv looks like it will sell if you price it right. CKD it with the help of drb or inokom or something….get the EEV cert and price it at 120-130….you will have a massive sales king…but u probably won’t and that’s a shame…

The price after EEV won’t set the price so low. This one is huge SUV which mean larger than ASX,Subaru XV..The lowest can be just around 150k with EEV

Really? Those solid face not really good looking. Are you comparing to old Fortuner?(I would agree to that). Or else New Fortuner is much much nicer

He’s talking about the Eclipse SUV la not the Outlander. The Eclipse is the coupe version of the ASX so it’s logical it will be priced cheaper.
