Ford Ranger 3.2L WildTrak Jet Black edition – RM142k

Ford Ranger 3.2L WildTrak Jet Black edition – RM142k

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) has announced a limited edition Ford Ranger WildTrak, dressed up in a Jet Black scheme. Previously only available in Pride Orange and Cool White, the edition sees the 3.2L WildTrak Automatic 4×4 High Rider going the black route. The special T6 facelift also gets twin grey racing stripes running from bonnet to tail complete the cosmetic work.

No mechanical changes to the 3.2 litre five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi mill, with the Puma P5AT retaining its 197 hp at 3,000 rpm and 470 Nm of torque at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm output numbers, or to the 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission.

The interior continues on as is, likewise specifications and kit. The 3.2L WildTrak comes equipped with a SYNC 3 infotainment system, the first Ford model to get the system locally. Key features of the system, which takes over from SYNC 2, include an eight-inch touchscreen with capacitive touch technology that allows ‘pinch and swipe’ capability on select features as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and Spotify, Pandora and Google Maps+ compatibility.

The Ford Ranger 3.2L WildTrak Jet Black limited edition is priced at RM141,588 on-the-road without insurance, a slight hike from the RM139,838 asked for the standard 3.2L WildTrak.

Few years ago, trucks was in the RM80k range. So people bought them cause they were cheap. Then greedy GLC owned UMW and SDAC slowly slowly slowly increased their prices.

Now, this Ranger is RM142k. The price of a Camry. Close to even BMW 320i prices (after discounts)

This is how greedy our car companies have become. Curi Curi Malaysia!

    • Even at 140k, its still better value than 110k (bog standard) + 30k accessories for a RHD coverted Raptor. Somemore got full manufacturers warranty and able to servis at all Ford centers. Plus got torquey diesel engine which saves fuel.

Cheapest 2.2 auto is around 110k….which is plenty reasonable… 3.2l was always an overkill… Meanwhile the guy with da first comment deluded as ever…

This engine is seriously under tuned. The Hyundai 2.2L output almost same HP though the torque is lesser at 420 Nm. Ford should push out higher output from this mill.

The truck is great but won’t say value for money… the main concern is the after sales service…

  • Even ten years ago, top-spec pickups were already nearing 90k and those were not nearly as well-equipped as today’s offerings.

Truck is designed for practical, rough usage. Not luxury. Please dont be confused la….This truck CANNOT be refined becoz it WAS NOT designed to be luxurious in the 1st place.

Slapping some leather on the seats, being black, stickers, with extra trims DO NOT simply qualify as luxury.

Want luxury? Just buy a BMW or a MERC.

Can u assign someone to recheck many of the information listed in your Car Base apps. Your wild trak is still listed as having syn 2. For Mazda CX5 GLS, the tyre size is 17 but alloy wheels are only 16. There are too many mistakes thereby giving us a wrong picture.
Also your search engine for Paultan.org is not friendly enough. You have to type the correct and exact name and model of the vehicle otherwise the result show ‘not found’.
