Honda S660 gets the Liberty Walk widebody treatment

The Honda S660 is a rather adorable thing to behold, but perhaps you’d like it to be a bit more butch? Liberty Walk is stepping in with its widebody kit, dubbed the SSX-660R, for the diminutive kei roadster – and as usual it turns it all the way up to 11.

Signature bolt-on overfenders are present and accounted for, of course, but the package also includes more aggressive NSX-aping front and rear bumpers, complete with a deeper front splitter and rear diffuser. Side skirts and a ducktail rear spoiler complete the look – those deep dish alloy wheels and stretched tyres aren’t included, unfortunately.

Made from fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP), the kit comes either with or without the fender flares, and are priced at 848,000 yen (RM32,200) and 475,200 yen (RM18,000) respectively. You can also get Airrex air suspension to really get the S660 riding low, and that costs a staggering 580,000 yen (RM22,000). Not exactly cheap, but hey – that’s the kind of price you pay for all that swagger.

It doesn’t, however, pay for any extra helping of performance, so you still get a mid-mounted 660 cc turbocharged DOHC three-cylinder engine that develops 64 hp and 104 Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels via either a CVT with paddle shifters or an honest-to-goodness six-speed manual gearbox.

The one with the fenders on are a bit outlandish but to get Airrex air suspension for this Kei roadster is really asking too much. I tot air suspension are for luxury motoring !!

Damn… that’s some sweet candy. Unfortunately can’t even get out from my taman without leaving bits and pieces of the body kit behind.
